Get Well, We can Adapt Card. Send encouragement in time of illness. Let a friend or family member know you are with them on a journey with illness. The card includes a tip for optimising health. The words on the front of this card read, “We need to make some changes to make you comfortable. We can do this.” Are you asking, can I print this card with words of my own choosing? The answer is yes. Alternatively, you can keep the special and encouraging message already included for a friend or family member living with illness. This get well card serves as an affirmation for developing skills of adaptation in a time of illness or sickness. It affirms your commitment to being a supportive friend or supportive family member. Inside the card is a variation on this message ‘Your health is calling for changes to be made. I see this challenge in your life. I support you in any changes you need to make. Please let me know what I can do to help you feel more comfortable when we spend time together.’ You are here to offer support. You may not know what to do to help, but you are willing to learn. This card is suitable to give to someone living with ME/CFS (myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome), fibromyalgia, lupus, and many other chronic illnesses. A get well card is not suitable for someone living with chronic illness. Instead this card helps them by offering your support and encouragement in the changes they need to make. Personalise the card with your name, the name of the person to whom you are giving the card and any message you want to give.
