Earth is the foundational element of the physical plane. It represents the Mother Earth and serves as the vessel for all other elements to manifest. While it is often associated with the mundane world, it is deeply sacred as the physical embodiment of the divine. Earth is defined by its density, fertility, and unwavering presence. In ritual practice, it is often called upon for "grounding" —the act of reconnecting one's personal energy with the stabilizing force of the Earth.
