Emergent Faces Collection

I’ve a philosophy of embracing emergence. The processes I use to create my postmodern digital abstracts, take on a Zen like quality. Unexpected patterns emerge. The unplanned has as much to do with it, as the planned. Many times faces are among the patterns that emerge. Occasionally, I play with these emergent faces, like Chester the Cybernetic Owl. I didn't set out to create Chester. Rather, he emerged spontaneously, as if he sought existence, and found me as a willing artistic receptor to carry out his creation. After Chester, the Face of Lorvious emerged in like manner. Then the Creepy Snowman came along. I’ve decided to make this a project. The Emergent Faces Project is about taking this tendency for faces to emerge from my image manipulations, and run with it. I’m now collecting Emergent Faces into their own series, which includes the older ones, plus new faces emerging from my creative image manipulations. This will be an ongoing project. As new faces emerge, I’ll add them here.
