EPIPHANY FEAST - THREE KINGS

The Feast of the Epiphany is an important part of the Christian liturgical calendar, celebrated on January 6th. It commemorates the visit of the Magi to the Christ-child and pays tribute to three symbolic events associating Jesus with kingship: The Adoration of the Magi, The Baptism of Jesus in the river Jordan, and his first miracle at Cana (the wedding feast at which he changed water into wine). On this day, some churches will bless chalk and distribute it to faithful families who mark their doorframes with a reminder that Christ protects their homes.
