For The People Act

The H. R. 1 or S1 For the People Act is designed to expand the rights of American voters to access the ballot box. It requires states to offer same-day voter registration, hold early voting, and offer automatic voter registration for federal elections, among other provisions. This bill has been passed in the House of Representatives of the United States Congress and now needs support to pass the Senate and be signed into law by the President.
