An antique lithograph is the focus for the items in this collection, depicting Funchal harbor on the Portuguese island of Madeira. The panoramic view takes in the mountains looming in the background, through the bustling old village up to the waves where several old ships are afloat. There are three versions of this scene available: the original black and white, a sepia-tinted variant, and a blue variation much like antique toile or the designs seen on English china.
