Jenny Nyström, Christmas brownie (tomte) and cat

Designs inspired by a charming Christmas related watercolor by Swedish artist Jenny Nyström (1854-1946). The picture shows a smiling Christmas brownie (tomte) outside a barn. The brownie is standing in the snow, hands on his waist, and he's looking very pleased. A broom is leaning against the barn door, indicating that the he's been helping the farmers with their chores. The name of the painting tells the same thing: After the cleaning work (Efter sluttet rydningsarbeide). The brownie is accompanied by a cat who is affectionately rubbing itself against his legs.
