MacKenzie/MacRae Scottish Clan Eilean Donan Castle

Members of the Scottish clans of MacKenzie and MacRae around the world can enjoy unique gifts that celebrate their ancient Scottish Clans' heritage and their history at Eilean Donan Castle. Both clans have been associated for centuries with Eilean Donan, which is central to the histories of both families whose paths are so closely intertwined. Eilean Donan Castle is located in the Western Highlands of Scotland.The MacKenzie clan chiefs are said to have settled there by 1297 along with their centuries-long ally Clan MacRae. Eilean Donan is part of the Kintail National Scenic Area, one of 40 in Scotland. Eilean Donan was completely rebuilt between 1919 and 1932 and is open to the public.
