Scottish Agnew Clan's Lochnaw Castle Gifts

A variety of items featuring the longtime home of Clan Agnew make great gifts for your Agnew family and friends who love their Scottish Heritage. Lochnaw Castle, longtime home of the Scottish Agnew clan, was sold out of the family near the end of the 20th century and is a private residence. It is described as an ancient tower castle located on the Rhins of Galloway in southwest Scotland. The Agnews received a “royal castle” around 1363, which was located on an island in Loch Lochnaw. After it was destroyed, the current stone structure was constructed overlooking the loch. A plaque with 1486 is mounted on the keep. Lochnaw Castle is located in Wigtownshire County near the towns of Stranraer, Dumfries and Galloway. The site dates much earlier than the clan system as the website https://www.lochnawcastle.co.uk/history/ says there is evidence of iron age activity there. Before the pandemic, any descendants of the ancient clan could visit and actually stay on the property in cottages that are for rent or lease.
