The Twelve Cats of Christmas

In her award-winning book, "The Twelve Cats of Christmas", artist Jane Sayre Denny spoofs the famous holiday song "The Twelve Days of Christmas" with an all new, all feline cast of characters. Whereas in the song, on each of the 12 days before Christmas, "my true love sent to me..." some wild animal or unruly mob, our designs replace each day's gift with cats - much preferable to the cacophony of noisy birds and mayhem in that song. I mean, if he was really my true love, shouldn't he have sent cats? And since cats do things their own way, the festivities are uniquely feline. From A Persian in a Pear Tree on Day 1, through Eight Manx a-Milking on Day 8 and Twelve Cats Drumming (on their pillows) on Christmas Day, this delightfully clever series is a holiday must have... and must give!
