"When I was Young"
By Artist Tony O'Neill
When I was young
and growing up in
Camberwell Grove
in London England,
finding a Cider bottle
worth sixpence was like
winning the lottery
it meant Black Jacks,
four for a penny,
Aniseed balls,
eight for a penny
Lemonade Powder
and Jamboree bags for all!
Just great.
Do you remember
that time in the 1950's
What about Creamsoda
and ice cream!
What a party!
Fun in the sun . . .
And Tony’s amusing celebration of the aluminum can this time featuring his rendition of Humphrey Bogart and Katharine Hepburn in the great movie "The Afri-can Queen" this just breaks me up the cans the hats and the umbrella! It’s all there! So funny ha ha ha, Brigid
