Winter Solstice Poem

The winter solstice is the shortest day of the year and the beginning of the winter season. It typically arrives about December 21 when the Sun is farthest sound in the Northern Hemisphere and on June 21 when the Sun is farthest north in the Southern Hemisphere. Celebrate this day as the most dark it is going to get this year. Days will get longer from no on until we reach the summer solstice and it starts all over again
