Gravata Steam Locomotive At Summit Cut, Green Mountain

Based on Photograph from the Library of Congress, Detroit Publishing Company Collection Bet. 1900 and 1906 Vintage steam locomotive emerging from a narrow railway cut through a rocky, tree-covered landscape of Summit on Green Mountain near Rutland VT. The train is moving along a curved track, with steam rising into the bright, partly cloudy sky above. The steep sides of the cut are visible on both sides of the track, with green foliage abundant on the slopes above the rock faces.
