Deez_Chickens

I got backyard chickens about the same time the rest of the United States decided to. I have a little acreage, live in the country, we were all going into lockdown so my family thought it was the perfect time to raise some chicks. We had a ton of time on our hands and chicks are so dang cute, who wouldn't want to spend all their free time with them? As it turns out, chickens are easily socialized when a family of 5 spends 8 to 10 hours a day petting and holding them. Jump forward a couple of years and we now have 20 highly socialized pet chickens. Who would have guessed? I'm a semi-professional photographer and find myself on the ground with my camera lens at the beak of a chicken more frequently than I'd care to admit. So, here I am, just trying to share my pet chickens with the world. -Dee
