About Elvira the Haunted Car: Elvira is a 1970 Cadillac S&S Medic Mark1 Rescuer Ambulance that was customized and saved to be a topless limousine that is currently in service with Shamrock Limousine in Council Bluffs, IA. Elvira began her life in 1970 at Norwich State Hospital in Preston, CT as an ambulance, where she served until 1991. During her 21 years of service, over 496 people died inside of her including; Chief Paramedic Leonard P. Anderson, John Flannery (inmate at Norwich), 493 other inmates at the hospital, and Daniel a 9 year old boy with terminal cancer.
