OAR is a restorative justice non-profit organization that has provided a social safety net for justice impacted individuals and their families since 1971. OAR’s mission is to provide education, alternatives, and reentry resources that empower individuals and families impacted by the legal system, and our vision is a world where communities provide equitable opportunities for all people to lead fulfilling lives. OAR is dedicated to providing resources for justice-impacted individuals and their families while they are regaining the resources and connections to their community essential to stability and success. Justice impacted individuals have been historically marginalized and underserved, despite facing numerous challenges re-integrating into their communities. To overcome these obstacles, OAR provides pre- and post-release case management, housing assistance, employment assistance, dental assistance, medical assistance, mental health referrals and payment support, resource navigation, training, education, and evidence-based programming to improve our clients understanding of their behavior and ability to improve their cognitive approach to reentry. OAR also offers emergency assistance to individuals and families to meet their basic needs and serve as a bridge until clients can secure their own resources.
