I trained as a barrister, but for the last nine years I have run my own company, organising people's dreams or ending their nightmares. But I have always wanted to write and now I feel it is time for a career change.
My wife and I love reading good stories to my two revolting children (we like them!), and the stairs up to their bedroom are piled high with books old and new. The morning after the youngest one was born, I set out to write some stories (for kids age 5-7) about a group of young dinosaurs, The Tiny Dinies, and their battles with King Rex who is always trying to eat them. Knowing from bitter experience that so many modern children's books are desperately dull and unfunny, both for parent and child, I wanted to write stories that would make everyone laugh out loud. It seems that I did this, thank goodness! But you'll have to wait till they are published to decide for yourselves.
By chance, my stories came to the attention of award-winning cartoonist Charles Peattie (www.alexcartoon.com) and out of the blue he sent me some draft illustrations, which I just love. We are now working on producing illustrations for the books and also for some fun merchandise to amuse you and your children.

In my case I'm an enthusiastic amateur, but I know I've got lots to learn and I'm sure there are many of you who have tons of useful advice to share.
