Our mission is to inform, support, and empower individuals affected by cerebral cavernous angiomas and drive research for better treatments and a cure. Cerebral cavernous angiomas, also known as cavernoma or cavernous malformations, are abnormal blood vessels in the brain or spinal cord that can hemorrhage, causing stroke or seizure at any age. Brain or spinal surgery is the only treatment and is not available to everyone. People with a hereditary form of the illness develop more lesions over time.
