Don Benson - Artist At a young age, a love of the outdoors and a talent for drawing pictures was the starting point that lead Don Benson to eventually painting wildflowers. He worked in the landscape maintenance Industry (Green Industry) for over 25 years, maintaining commerical and industrial parks and residential homes. Being around such colorful landscapes inspired him to paint wildflowers. Don trained at William Rainey Harper College in Palatine, Illinois in the Horticulture and State and National Parks Management Program. Through the years he worked for some local and national landscape companies, who created some breathtaking flower designs and landscape installations. With the love of plants, flowers and the outdoors, the passion for painting wildflowers grew.
