My computer and I first began creating fractals several years ago and I totally love them 😃 Basically fractals are naturally occurring patterns which are repeated at smaller and smaller scales. Fractals can be seen in nature e.g. a mountain range, coastlines (Norwegian fjords are a good example), tree branches, feathers, mosses etc. I generate raw fractals by selecting and inputting random variation sets, adjusting and experimenting with other variables e.g symmetry. It can take hours of generating and sifting through raw fractals to get a “good one” (in my opinion that is). When I find one I like the look of I will render it to a suitable size and try different combinations of colour until I am happy with it.
