Overlanding or Overland was an unknown word to me just over a year ago. I loved to set out on little adventure here and there before but never by vehicle. After a 2 month road trip through 18 states in an SUV I came back home and realized I needed more capable overland build vehicle. Around that time I was watching Expedition Overland, Ronny Dahl, and Andrew Pierre White. Looking at those great off-road trips really inspired me dive into overlanding like it is my last breath. I created Gear Into Adventure to document my travels, inspire overs. I started my Overland truck build with the 6 inch lift and it just wouldn't stop since then. I've chosen Ram 1500 full size truck because the previous road-trip showed me how much more space I need to have docent comfort out there on far overland expeditions. I've started my overland camper shell build, looked at a lot of camper van videos for inspiration and ideas. Van dwelling community always have a ton of useful tips of how to make life comfy on the road and sustainable off-grid which totally can be applied to overland camper build for truck. Adventure lifestyle lured me in and I am hooked now.
