Hoodman began as a play on Bergdorf Goodman, the upscale department store in Manhattan that none of us had ever shopped at. We wanted to rep for those outside the margins with graphic tees influenced by hip hop, NY, and whatever else we saw on the day to day. Our first shirt was a "Yom Kippur Clipper" joint we sold on the 4-train before Mets games after Sean Green got traded to the Mets. From that first 200 dollars, we flipped it into a company now going on its second year. Our philosophy is that the message is the aesthetic and aint nothin changed from day one. We're still here throwing rags at the establishment. Hoodman: The Neighborhood Politik.
