From a sugar sand beach on Lake Superior I create whimsical storytelling art from the upper peninsula of Michigan where I grew up and from places I’ve lived or traveled to for work: stretching from the beaches of Cape Cod to Southern California, the mountains and waters of the Pacific Northwest and Kyrgyzstan, the islands of Micronesia, and the cities of Boston and DC. I create numerical models on the computer for work so I’ll sometimes introduce algorithmic art to properly tell the story.
