Megan is a self-taught photographer whose passion is wildlife and nature. Based in Ontario, there is more than enough local wildlife to fulfil her days but she has always had a strong urge to travel and explore new places. Megan believes that intensive knowledge of a species behaviour, traits and habitat is paramount to successful wildlife photography and has an unending amount of patience which helps her in the field waiting for the perfect moment. In 2012 Megan was honored to receive the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for her significant contributions to Canadian wildlife photography. She is also the Windland Smith Rice 2015 Grand Prize Winner for her photo of an Atlantic Puffin titled "Making Amends".
