My store came from the idea of celebrating my culture, children and the needs of today. Hopefully it will inspire others and create a sense of hope and inspiration. As a former teacher, I saw the needs of children, especially African American students up close and once I retired I wanted to find a way to help them and myself. This gives me a chance to be creative and do the things my heart decides even at this age.
