Spanglishista

Hola y'all.Growing up 1st generación in the United States has been very rewarding pero also had its challenges. Especially when you know more then one language, spanish and engles. Mis jefitos only spoke spanish, it made everyday tasks a little bit more challenging for me as a kid. They expected me to know engles since the day i was able to speak. So dealing with telemarketers y everyone we come across was an everyday task for me growing up. But It also had its ventajas, like when I would have parent teacher conference and my teacher wanted me to tell mis jefitos que traviesa I was, Let's just say that my parents always thought i was a great student ;). As i got older I realized that the way i spoke was an actual language, Spanglish. Meeting people that tambien spoke spanglish was so exciting for me. Especially when mis jefitos decided to move us to los soburbios. Where their was no latinos in site. Peroooo anyways i thought it would be great to connect with my fellow Spanlishistas thru my site and share some work de otros spanglishistas and some of mine :)
