Coloring Books By Suzy Merchandise

Suzanne Lapila was born in New Britain, CT and is of Sicilian/Polish decent. She graduated from Central Connecticut State University in 1995 with a B.A. in graphic design. Growing up she always took in an interest in drawing pictures. Winning art contests in elementary school and being in the gifted and talented program at New Britain High School. She knew that art was what she wanted to do, but she wasn't really sure what exactly to do with it. She applied to CCSU and got accepted in 1991-1995 and graduated with a BA in graphic design. After college she realized there wasn't many creative jobs in her area. She eventually met the love of her life Brian and moved. There were many more jobs in graphic design in the Fairfield County area. She did many different jobs working with creative agencies, print shops and publishers. She really took a liking to publishing and worked for several publishers doing design and production work. It was at the last company she worked that she finally realized what she wanted to do. By combining her love for illustration especially creating designs and patterns with her skill in graphic design/production artist work that she could create coloring books for adults! She has so far published 4 coloring books for adults on Amazon.com! She has took this art she created from the pages of her coloring books to create unique designs on products!
